How long does it take to charge the BioPack and BioFind batteries?
We now have two systems. The older systems used SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) Batteries. These batteries take approximately 6 hours for a full charge.
Can you overcharge the batteries?
No! The SLA batteries can not be overcharged. The system includes a charge system that switches to a trickle charge when the batteries reach 12 volts. The trickle charge will not harm the battery.
The Newer Systems have NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries. These batteries take approximately three hours to reach a full charge. These batteries will not be harmed if the charger is left on after the batteries have reached a full charge, for the battery charger provided has a switching mechanism that switches to a trickle charge.
